On 16th Aug, 2007 Thursday evening, Singapore Kannadigas got the opportunity to
interact with Smt. Sudha Murthy, Trustee and Chairperson of the Infosys Foundation.
She was accompanied by Shri N.R. Narayana Murthy, Chairman and Chief Mentor of
Infosys Technologies Limited.

After the welcome speech, Kannada Sangha president Shri. Ramadas gave a brief
introduction to Kannada Sangha and its activities for the benefit of our guests
and new members. Followed by this, Smt. Sudha Murthy, chief guest for the day

enlightened the audience with the speech on "hordeshadalliruva Kannadigaru
Kannadatanavannu hege ulisabahudu?". She shared the experiences from her life
and provided practical advice on what steps each of us can take to retain the

existence of Kannada in our day to day life. The effect of her speech was visible
immediately, with the largest number of new member registrations for Kannada Sangha
in a single day. Sudha Murthy\'s simplicity, sense of humour and wisdom captivated

the audience and re-ignited our pride of being an Indian and a Kannadiga. This was
followed by a short speech by Shri N.R. Narayana Murthy. The couple complemented
each other with their thoughts & ideas and took turn in answering questions.

More than 130 kannadigas as well as a few non-kannadigas had the privilege of
attending this programme and the interaction with the guests was truely a once
in a life-time experience. A sense of happiness and satisfaction was evident all

around; with the participants discussing about the programme long after the guests
had left the venue. We hope you, your family & friends enjoyed the programme. If
