Welcome to the Launch of Kannada Sangha (Singapore)'s new web page www.singara.org

Let me share with you all, the journey we took to arrive at the new web page. The earlier web page www.singara.com provided a means to archive and present the achievements of Kannada Sangha (singapore) to the wider audience. As we attempted to make the web page more interactive in keeping with the times, we found that the existing web page www.singara.com  had certain limitations.

So, a web design team under the leadership of Sri. Vijayaranga Prasad with Sri. G. Shivakumar as the other member was set up to revamp the web page with timely, constructive and exhaustive inputs from other executive committee members. www.singara.org  is the fruit of this teamwork.

At its most basic, the webpage had to identify Kannada Sangha (Singapore) for what it was - a not for profit organisation committed to maintaining and showcasing the Kannadiga culture in Singapore so the .com had to change to .org.

Without going into the technical advantages, some of the other notable features are,

- A user friendly bi-lingual menu that makes it easy to navigate the site, whether they are familiar with the Kannada script or otherwise,
- An exclusive postings page for use by members to network more freely,
- An interactive feature for new applicants to submit their applications,
- An abundant archive of Kannada Sangha (Singapore)'s past events,
- A direct link for the visitor to communicate with Kannada Sangha and many more features.

Keshava Prashanth and, and our web design team for their innovativeness and tremendous patience in helping us to successfully present to you www.singara.org  True to the nature of the Internet, the designers stationed in Bengaluru worked remotely and had long chats with our team to arrive at our goal.
